LE MANS, middeleeuwse stad
Le Mans ligt tussen de rivieren "Lhuisne" en de "Sarthe", en is de belangrijkste stad van het departement de Sarthe, met ongeveer 143 000 inwoners, met éen van de meestbezochte kathedralen, "Saint Julien", vele gerestaureerde middeleeuwse gebouwen, en het hoofdgebouw van de universiteit van de Maine met 11 000 studenten. Een heel oude maar tegelijk jonge stad.... het bezoeken waard!
